Unicef Snowflake Ball 2012

Perhaps inspired by the word 'snowflake', Allison Williams opted for an icy blue lace gown by Naeem Khan. The actress was all smiles posing for the camera, with her gorgeous brunette tresses let down in soft curls. She looked sweet.

Just gotta say: "Eat your heart out, Bieber!". Looking at Selena Gomez in her open back Dolce & Gabanna gown, many guys (and girls) would cringe. She was a true vision in it! Would have loved it more if her hair was pulled back in a high ponytail or bun though. She completed her look with Judith Lieber clutch and Giussepe Zanottis

Selita Ebanks was red hot in Romona Keveza. The Victoria Secret model was a vision in red, complete with red lips and a diamond necklace. To add to her look, was a black minaudiere and a fur stole.

Love Katy Perry's midnight blue Naeem Khan gown. As for the cape, I'm a bit on a love/hate mode. The middle parted, straight black hair with the cape made for a Morticia Addams-esque feel, but never mind that, coz she looked gorgeous!

Kate Mara dress up her orange Jason Wu dress with clutch by the designer, with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Brian Atwood heels. The dress and style looks a bit repetitive on the actress, I'm afraid.

Kelly Ripa was all smiles in her strapless ivory gown. The silhouette suited her figure perfectly. She looked cute.

Uma Thurman attempts to do classic by wearing a midnight blue velvet Atelier Versace gown, but , unfortunately, it didn't quite do her any favor.

Talaash Premiere

The premiere of Talaash was held last night. Among the attendees, we see a mix of dressed down and dressed up avatars.

Rani Mukherji was spotted in a white suit white pastel pink churidar and sky blue dupatta. She pared her look with silver peep-toe pumps and chaand-style baalis. I love the pastel colors against her dusky skin, not quite a fan of the cut of the suit itself though. Nevertheless, she looked nice.

Aamir was a bit more comfortable sporting a pair of beige pants with light blue sweater over a white tee, which he paired with black high-tops. Except for the black high-tops, I quite dig this look, its style and comfort in one. Just wished he went with brown instead of black with his footwear.

Rani Mukherji and Aamir Khan

Director Reema Kagti was in her usual tomboy look, but even a tomboy look can be done better than that leopard print sweater.

Kiran Rao came  in leather bottoms paired with olive shirt and matching heels and chain sling bag. I'm not a fan of her leather pants, but she looked quite nice.

Reema Kagti and Kiran Rao

Lara Duta and Mahesh Bhuppathi attended the premiere as well. Mahesh was in a laid back look with jeans and black shirt, while wife, Lara, dressed it up a little in a brown Michael Kors dress and finishing it up with gold LV clutch and gold Louboutins. A pair of hoops and a puffed up ponytail completed her look. She looked good!

Mahesh Bhuppathi and Lara Dutta

Another one who dressed it up was Shabana Azmi who came with hubby, Javed Akhtar, in support of their son's production. Mrs. Azmi was in black asymmetrical kurta over pajama pants, paired with her trademark statement necklace, a black sling and copper heels. Not many people can pull off a look as such, but she manages just fine.

Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar

Choreographer, Vaibhavi Merchant was casual in olive colored shirt paired over black skinny pants. She dressed it up with drop earrings, orange clutch and cream platform sandals. No feeling the sandals, but the rest of the look was quite flattering on her.

Vaibhavi Merchant

Sona made a failed attempt of vamping up her look. The shirt dress was overwhelming on her, the hairdo didn't do much for her and the necklace, most of all, was a bad choice. The red lips wasn't the right shade for her either. Better luck next time!

Sona Mohapatra

Minissha was sweet in pink at the premiere. Sleek straight hair, snake skin peep-toe pumps and white bag completed her look.

Minissha Lamba

Shahana was stylish in black tank top paired with green palazzo pants and studded belt, which she paired with black clutch and grey pumps. Only thing, I wish the pants had more length to it. Love her hair worn in a simple side ponytail.

Shahana Goswami

Anil Kapoor was in dark grey skinny jeans paired with a gold studded navy sweater jacket over white polo shirt. Must say , the man looked very stylish! My favorite part, those oversized glasses.

Anil Kapoor

Another one in palazzo pants was Anushka Sharma, who went with black tank top and floral pants, with brown belt, stack of wooden bangles and kholapuris. Simple, casual and effortlessly chic!

Anushka Sharma

I'm not quite sure whether what Zoya Akhtar had on was baggy pant or skirt, and not really interested to find out. What I wanna know is whether she owns a time machine which could transport that piece of clothing from the 90s to present day.
There is a lot of way to do comfort an stay stylish and this is not one of it. She had the right ingredients waist-up, all she had to do was slap on a pair of skinny or bootleg jeans or even leggings.

Zoya Akhtar

Ranveer Singh cam sporting a moustache which (I hope) he grew for a movie role. It was a pair of bleached jeans, a magenta tee and stonewash green jacket. Never been a fan of those acid washed jeans and the suede beige shoes isn't working in his favor either.

Ranveer Singh

Kangana was casually chic in a pair of black high waisted skinny jeans paired with beige tank top and brown belt. She completed her look with sling bag and oxford flats. Nice!

World Compassion Day with Dalai Lama

The World Compassion Day saw attendance by Sonam Kapoor and Raveena Tandon.

Sonam Kapoor was in Anju Modi's angrakha long kurta  paired with kundan earrings, Valentino chain sling bag and nude peep-toes. This is a sobered up look for Sonam and I quite like it. Only thing, her make-up looked greasy.

Sonam Kapoor in Anju Modi

Raveena was in Anamika Khanna asymmetrical top over a pair of black pants, paired with a statement necklace. I think this is the best she has look in quite some time. Black clutch and peep-toes completed her look.

Gotham Independent Film Awards

Amy Adams have had some great moments and some down moments in fashion, but this one is definitely one of the greats. Her structural Armani dress hugged her curves in all the right places. Black Brian Atwood heels, Louboutin clutch and Lorraine Schwartz earrings completed her look.

Amy Adams in Giorgio Armani

Marion was the epitome of class in her tuxedo inspired Dior dress. I just wished there was a a bit more volume to the skirt, but its not a deal-breaker. She styled the outfit with a tight bun, black pumps and Chopard jewelry.

Marion Cotilard in Dior

Allison Williams's was a dissappointment. The fabric was practically grandma's table cloth fabric and the fit wasn't much better either. It's unfortunate when a gorgeous girl wears the wrong dress.

Allison Williams

Emily Blunt's Calvin Klein dress, unfortunately, didn't quite work in her favor. The cut-outs are cute, but the look just fell flat. The length of the dress wasn't for her and the tussled up bun looked messy. Her over-tanned make-up and Lorraine Schwartz necklace added to the mess. Jimmy Choo heels completed her look. We hope she bounces back soon.

A heavily pregnant Lara Stone walked the carpet wearing a body hugging scarlet number. The DKNY model had no inhibitions showing off her baby bump in her Calvin Klein. She was radiant!

Atosa Previews

Atosa held a preview of their new designers' collection.

Both Manasi Scott and Sona Mohapatra, who attended the preview of Anaikka's collection, wore the designer's creation to the event. Of the two, I would go with Manasi's look. Sona's look gave out a 'trying-to-hard' vibe, with the boots and feline eye liner.

Neha attended the preview of Gaurav Gupta's collection at Atosa wearing Masaba. Love the subtle make-up against the bright purple outfit. Just wished she would have gone with leggings, but the pants worked just fine.

The London Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2012

The London Evening Standard Theatre Awards was held recently in partnership with Burberry.

Most of the esteemed attendees opted for Burberry for the evening.

Anna Wintour, who was also a co-host of the awards, didn't really move away from her usual trademark style, wearing a golden gown and white fur stole. The lady looked elegant, as always.

Anna Wintour

Cara Delevigne looked absolutely sizzling in a plunging neck Burberry gown. The sheer sleeves worked beautifully. An elegant top knot and studded clutch completed her look.

Danny Boyle, who was one of the award winners, showed up in a blue suit, which was covered underneath his overcoat and shawl. Wish the fit of the pants were better.

Another one in Burberry was Felicity Jones, wearing a white gown with black bow belt by the designer. Completed with black clutch and pumps, she looked nice.

Gemma opted away from the expected Burberry and went for an embellished Lanvin. Not so crazy about the dress and definitely not crazy about the hairdo. Don't understand what's going on there. Looks like a mess!

Gemma Arterton in Lanvin

Navy suit seems to be the new thing. Harry Treadaway also abide to the trend and looked good doing it, wearing a navy Burberry suit.

Judi went for a pale Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla ensemble, paired with white clutch and black pumps. The black pumps looks odd against the pale colored outfit. But apart from that, she looked elegant.

Jourdan Dunn opted for a risque golden Burberry dress, risking a nip slip. But alas, paired with black clutch and umps, she held her own.

Ruth Wilson was a head-turner in a neon pink Christian Dior couture cerise top, paired wit black trousers. Definitely a stand-out. I am surprisingly into the dramatic look. After all, theatre is all about drama right?! ;)

It was a classic Tuxedo for Tinie Tempah. Only thing I'm questioning is the absence of socks and the length of the pants.

Victoria was in a satin trench over a sequined dress, both Burberry. Hope she took off the trench inside, 'cause she could really do without it.

Masala! Awards 2012 (Dubai)

Sophie was one of the Bollywood attendees at the Masala! Awards held in Dubai. Wearing a red and blue anarkali suit, she looked lovely/

Sophie Chaudry

Another attendee was Karisma Kapoor who came in a Manish Malhotra lengha. I liked this lengha a lot, as its quite different from the typical Manish Malhotra style we see ever so often and especially love the neon pink lips on Karisma.

At the event, Karisma changed it up into a red Prabal Gurung dress (which I lust!). The bright red against her fair skin was gorgeous, plus that neckline, which was subtly sexy. Va-va-voom!

Who Wore It Better?

The outfit worn by Sania Mirza while walking the ramp for Neeta Lulla recently, was previously seen on Bipasha Basu. Both ladies added red lips to the look,, but who wore it better?

For me, its hands down, Bipasha Basu. Love the simplicity neck up compared to the heavy earrings and do on Sania Mirza.

What do you guys think?

Global Peace Initiative 'Walk for Peace'

The Welllingkar Institute of Management Research and Development held the 'Global Peace Initiative' and 'Walk for Peace' campaign in Mumbai recently, in memory of the 26/11 attack.

Some of our Bollywood celebrities walked for Neeta Lulla for the cause.

Vivek Oberoi was seen walking with father, Suresh Oberoi and (not quite sure who's the woman in the middle). I, for one, much prefer the outfit Vivek had on. The ensemble on Suresh Oberoi looked a bit chunky.

We've seen Sana in the shortest and skimpiest of dresses, never actually seen her in her indian avatar. So, this one made for a nice change. Would love to see her in more indian outfit, but perhaps, a less dowdier one.

Sania Mirza also supported the cause by walking the ramp. I love the outfit itself on her, but the massive gold earrings made for an unwanted distraction.

Shazahn looked beautiful in a simple black saree. Weirdly enough, I do like the addition of that statement necklace to the look. Nice!
