Who Wore It Better?

Two leading ladies, two different colors, same dress.

Both Michelle Pfeiffer and Cameron Diaz were spotted in the same strapless Lanvin dress months apart. I am, surprisingly, liking Michelle's look more. The bordeaux color was beautiful and the minimal accessories works a lot better. Who do you think got the look right?

In Amit Aggarwal

At one of the promotional events for her upcoming film 'Inkaar', Chitrangada gave us a sleek look in Amit Aggarwal. The grey was gorgeous against he dusky skin, and the perfectly blown hair and make-up made for perfection. Gorgeous!

Oxfam Charity Gala Dubai

It was a black vintage Dior gown for Kristin, topped with a woven cardigan. She styled it with gold necklace and black clutch. I think leaving back the cardigan would've elevated the look, but considering the chilly month, I don't blame her.

This one's a cool look coming from Calvin Klein, considering the usually very subtle designs of the brand. And Rooney Mara wore it with the right attitude and styling. She finished the look with Givenchy ankle strap heels and a low bun.

Malaika went for a white Gauri & Nainika Gown with asymmetrical hem. Considering what everyone else were wearing, an intricate gown with a train might be a bit much, but I don't mind it one bit. I am in general a fan of Gauri & Nainika, and when worn right, I'm just floored. The emerald jewelry and red lips works beautifully. She finished it out with a pair of Louboutins and a McQueen clutch.

Anu & Sunny Dewan's Christmas Party

Karisma went casual with a sequined top and black denims. I like the fact that its a bit of a rocker chic turn from the usually sophisticated look we tend to see her in.

Karisma Kapoor

Possibly my favorite look of the night was Genelia's who went for a black and white ensemble by Pankaj & Nidhi. She completed it with black heels and white watch. Very cute!
Riteish, meanwhile went for a dark grey jacket over black shirt and trousers.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Suza (in Pankaj & Nidhi)

Malaika was in a glossy blue Legér number/ While the dress and tan pumps were okay, the exposed  bra was a turn-off. A major NO!

Malaika Arora Khan in Hervé Legér

Sonal went festive with the Christmas color green with Alexander McQueen. She paired it with wavy hair, white clutch and nude peep-toe pumps. She looked radiant!

Sonali Bendre in Alexander McQuenn

Ash repeated a Shahab Durazi outfit she was previously seen in at a charity event in London. I sincerely wish she would break out of the heavily embroidered suits a.s.a.p! It really is not doing her any favors.

Aishwarya Rai in Shahab Durazi

Ameesha was in a red number similar to the green Halston Heritage she was seen in at Amitabh Bachchan's 70th Birthday Bash. Wasn't a fan of that dress, and not a fan of this one either. The one which bothers me the most was the asymmetrical hem of the dress, just looked tacky.

Ameesha Patel

Ms. Dolce & Gabanna was in what else if not Dolce & Gabanna. It was a green lace strapless number for Suzanne for the bash. She looked nice, and the color is gorgeous, but I really wish she would start experimenting with other looks soon,

Amrita was in a blue maxi for the party. Keeping in mind, she's still carrying some post-baby weight, this maxi didn't make for a flattering choice. She styled it with a dove gold clutch.

Amrita Arora

Raveena was in a black draped maxi. What I love most about the look is the way her hair was pushed back. She finished the look with a red lips, gold watch, clutch and black heels.

Raveena Tandon

Sophie opted for a black lace dress for the bash and styled it with black pumps and clutch. While the BCBG dress was pretty run-of-the-mill, I think what made the look popped was the radiant make-up. Beautiful!

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola promo @ Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

In line with the promotional activities of their movie, Anushka Sharma and Imran Khan made a stop at Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Anushka was in an Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla suit. While I find the suit a tad bit overwhelming, I do love the styling with the deep red lips, Isharya ring and bangles and Curio Cottage earrings.

Imran was in grey skinny pants, white shirt and navy jacket. She finished it with black shoes. Love the look, he looked so suave!

Imran Khan's Housewarming Bash

The mama and mami (maternal uncle & aunt) of the host, came hand in hand, with Aamir wearing a pair of light brown jeans and white shirt, paired with black shoes and Kiran in an Alexander Wang dress. While I get the casuality of the occasion, I would have preffered if Aamir went with brown shoes, instead of black. As for Kiran, I like the dress, but not quite a fan of the earrings, something edgier might work better.

Kiran Rao (in Alexander Wang and Aamir Khan

Barring a housewarming gift in hand, Anushka Sharma came in a Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna dress, paired with black flats. What I love the most the bright pink lips.

The cute couple, Genelia and Riteish also attended the bash.
I honestly find Riteish's shirt print quite disturbing, and sort of 70s. Genelia however looked nice in black pants and tank top, paired with silver cropped cardigan and clutch. Not quite a fan of the foitwear, but otherwise, the looked worked quite well.

Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh

Varun showed up in grey pants, paired with blue checkered shirt with a dark grey cardigan over it. The look was kinda 'meh' for me. Alia also gave us an encore with mini black dress, which looks like something we've seen her too often in. She paired it with orange wedges. Not a fan of the look one bit.

Filmfare Awards Press Meet

While it was a plain white saree with a black border for Sonam, I love this look primarily because of the flawless hair and make up. The classic look worked beautifully for her. She completed the look with ethnic studs and black satchel bag.

Sonam Kapoor

Kareena attended the press meet in a red Asos number. I think she looked pretty polished. She completed the look with a ponytail, black pumps and red lips.

Dabangg 2 Premiere

Arbaaz was hassle free in a black shirt over jeans and man of the day, Salman also took on a hassle free look with distressed jeans and a 'Being Human' polo tee, which he later topped off with a blue shirt, giving it a slightly more formal look.

Arbaaz Khan and Salman Khan

Salman Khan

Genelia put on a blue anarkali by Manish Malhotra for the premiere and hubby, Riteish was in a black kurta and Nehru vest paired with white pants. Both looked really good in my opinion, but unfortunately they were a tad bit too dressy for an event where everyone else was dressed relatively simple.

Genelia D'Souza (in Manish Malhotra) and Riteish Deshmukh

Sophie kept it simple and chic in a pair of black pants and gold drape top. She finished it out with black heels and clutch.

Sophie Chaudry

Chitrangada was in a pair of distressed denims, a black tank and white tuxedo jacket. Wasn't loving the denims, but love that she paired it with orange pumps and nerd glasses. What bothered me, though, was the hair, seemed like she just rolled out of bed.

Chitrangada Singh

Arjun Kapoor was semi-casual in black pants, grey shirt and black shoes.

Arjun Kapoor

Mughda was in a lace mini, which she styled with black studs and clutch. I'm not to crazy about this look, as I know she's capable of much more. We've seen better from Mughda, a lot better.

Mughda Godse

Raveena paired her glossy pyjama pants with a leopard print kurta. I love the look, especially the red cuff of the dress, adding that bit of color. Only thing I would change are the heels, perhaps red or copper would work better.

Raveena Tandon

Aamir was semi formal in black pants and white tee, paired with black checkered jacket over it. This one wasn't working for me. The jacket wasn't working for Aamir. On the upside, I do like the shoes.
Aamir Khan

Ameesha must've thought that she was going to the beach, then added a clutch and heels when she realized it was a premiere. The shorts and Victoria Secret tank top was a NO. She paired it with tan peep-toe pumps and blue Chanel clutch.

Ameesha Patel

Prabhu Deva was all smiles in a pair of jeans, a red polo shirt and brown sneakers. Don't know why, but I love those sneakers!

Prabhu Deva

Sonakshi looked polished in an Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla suit. Keeping in mind the busy suit, she styled it simply with black pumps, side ponytail and danglers.

Sonakshi Sinha in Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla

The always sizzling Malaika was in a strapless Shehlaa dress, featuring a lace top and yellow tulip skirt . While the styling was beautiful with the ruby earrings and tan pumps and clutch, couldn't help noticing that her bra was visible through the lace. Major fashion don't!

Malaika Arora Khan in Shehlaa

Amrita opted for a Vikram Phadnis anarkali suit. Unfortunately it looked really bulky on her. She finished it out with earrings, gold clutch and pumps. Not a fan of the look.

Style Du Jour Prty by Grey Goose

Zarine might not be seen much on the silver screen but she sure does make a lot of appearances at parties. The Style Du Jour party saw him in a strapless silver dress, wish style styled with tan pumps, vermillion lips and loose curls. She looked nice.

Zarine Khan

Ayushmann posed with Esha Gupta, wearing a pair of distressed jeans, white shirt paired with black leather jacket, shoes, belt and black tie. He looked suave.
Esha opted for a striped green gown. While she looked gorgeous neck up, I'm not really a fan of the dress.

Ayushmann Khurana and Esha Gupta (in Rajat Tangri)

I've never been quite a fan of Tara Sharma's wardrobe picks, but I'm loving this Pia Pauro mini on her. Given the dress being busy, she styled it with a simple high ponytail, red lips and gold heels. She looked hot.

Tara Sharma in Pia Pauro

Mughda was in a white satin blouse paired with shimmering skirt. She styled her ensemble with off white miniaudiere, studs, silver pumps and matte red lips. I'm on the fence with this look. I don't hate it but not loving it either.

Dinner Hosted by Shatrughan Sinha

Shatrughan Sinha hosted a dinner, which saw some Bollywood biggies attendees.

Amitabh Bachchan was seen chatting up the host wearing a double-breasted navy suit over a light blue shirt and green tie. Glad to see Mr.Bachchan moving away from his usual Nehru jackets.

Shatrughan, himself, was seen in a dark grey checkered suit paired over a pink shirt. The color worked well on him.

Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha

Sonakshi was sighted in Asos at her dad's party. She pared it with kundan necklace and black clutch and pumps. Must say, she looked good.

Sonakshi Sinha

Kajol opted for an Amit Aggarwal saree gown. While I'm not a fan of the outfit itself, Kajol does look beautiful in it. She paired it with gold cuff and clutch.

Big Star Entertainment Awards 2012 (cont'd)

Abhishek went with a dark grey suit paired with navy shirt. Glad to see him giving the velvet jacket a break, but he does look quite tired, and not red carpet-ready.

Abhishek Bachchan

Shah Rukh went for an all black look, with a 3-piece suit. I do like the look, especially the vest.

Shah Rukh Khan

Yami also opted for a black and topped it with a high ponytail and red lips. Whille the look as it is is nice, I kinda wish to see a skinny belt to highlight her figure better.

Yami Gautam

Tisca went for an desi look for the event. She opted for a fuchsia and brown saree, which she styled with side braided hair and yellow clutch. Kudos for thinking outside the box with the yellow clutch, but I'm afraid it didn't quite work, perhaps a dark green clutch would work better. She looked good, nevertheless.
